PwC issues adjusted auditor’s report on Brill’s annual accounts to meet reporting standard on Covid-19

Leiden, 23 June, 2020

After issuing the auditor's report dated 7 April 2020 on the 2019 financial statements of Koninklijke Brill N.V., PricewaterhouseCoopers Accountants N.V. (PwC) noted that their auditor’s report, and specifically where it pertains to  Covid-19, was not in line with the applicable auditing standard, even though the unqualified opinion as included in the auditor’s report remains appropriate.

Brill Journals Join CEPIEC Socolar Service

International scholarly publisher Brill and China Educational Publications Import & Export Corporation Ltd. (CEPIEC) have reached an agreement to make Brill journals available through the CEPIEC Socolar Service. With the previously established collaboration for Brill eBooks, Brill will now be able to offer its customers eBooks through the CEPIEC Iresearch platform and journals through the CEPIEC Socolar Service.

Brill Germany Takes Over the Publishing Program of Die Blaue Eule

The German branch of Brill has acquired the portfolio of German publishing house DIE BLAUE EULE, established in Essen. The acquisition includes a backlist of approximately 1400 book titles and 14 active book series. For Brill Deutschland GmbH, this represents a valuable expansion in the areas of Philosophy, Art and Musical Studies, and Education.
